Y.O.U. (Your Own Utopia) includes you in the making of the U Suite project. Your opinions matter to us, and have already affected the work as it's being made. At this point, we want to know about your own Utopia Hall of Fame, who's in it and why, and for your responses to the art so far. Your help's greatly appreciated.
Y.O.U. (Your Own Utopia) was first introduced in the Spring of 2009 to accompany an exhibit of Utopia Disco, which features the members of our Utopia Hall of Fame. There was an international outreach campaign for the questionnaire, and paper handout versions were placed in libraries and other public buildings to include as much of the community as possible.
Y.O.U. (Your Own Utopia) was also part of a show presented by the WNDX Festival of Film & Video Art at the PLATFORM centre for photographic + digital arts, which included library handouts and a web-based outreach to the Métis community throughout the province of Manitoba (Louis Riel is a member of the Utopia Hall of Fame).
